Prerequisite: Raku 101 (1 hour meeting), Raku Basics or equivalent experience is REQUIRED Event Details: ● Sunday, April 26 ● 12:00 PM - 5:00 PM (1st hour glazing) ● Location: Clay Space Studio Raku firing is an exciting, unpredictable, and organic pottery firing process. The group nature of the process and the volatility and surprising results of Raku make for unusual and imperfect results. While the experimental nature of Raku and working directly with fire and hot pots pose some risks to the pottery (be aware if you bring your most prized pots), the results can be stunning. So that you can maximize the number of pieces fired, we suggest that each participant prioritize your pots and we will get through as many as we can. We recommend bringing 4 priority pots and 4 backup pots. Note that appropriate attire and safety equipment are required for participation. For safety, training, and preparation for the best results, completion of Raku 101 (a 1 hour training and information session) is required before registering for Raku Firing Workshops. Register for Raku 101 on the workshops page. Raku Clay is available to purchase at the studio starting at $50 for a 25 lb bag. **Discounts cannot be applied to this workshop.

Cancellation Policy
Clay space reserves the right to cancel any workshop or class for good cause, including but not limited to: lack of sign-ups, illness of instructor, extreme weather conditions, etc. If a class or workshop is cancelled by Clay Space, we will refund payment. We offer full refunds for cancellations made more than 10 days out from a class or workshop and 50% refunds made between 5 and 10 days before a class or workshop. There are no refunds for cancellations made within 5 days of a class or workshop. All refunds are for the designated amount minus the services fee charged to us. To cancel your class or workshop reservation, please email us at office@clayspaceeugene.org to receive a refund.
