Service Description
Prerequisite: at least 1 Beginning Wheel Throwing Class ● Date: Sunday, May 31 ● Time: 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM ● Location: Clay Space Studio Join us for this one-day deep dive into faceted and altered tea bowls! In this 6-hour, hands-on workshop, professional potter, Dwayne Sackey, walks students through the process of making faceted and altered tea bowls. We will discuss the process and desired aesthetics, and work through techniques necessary to make faceted tea bowls on the potter's wheel. Through lecture, demos and hands-on practice, participants will: - Understand the form, its variations, and inspirations - Learn the process and techniques used to facet and alter - Learn which tools and measurements are helpful - Learn how to trim tea bowls, inside and out - Explore the faceting process beyond the tea bowl form, try to use what we've learned to make something new. There will be a 1 hour break for lunch. Class cost - $150 Clay is included. *Discounts cannot be applied to this workshop

Cancellation Policy
Clay space reserves the right to cancel any workshop or class for good cause, including but not limited to: lack of sign-ups, illness of instructor, extreme weather conditions, etc. If a class or workshop is cancelled by Clay Space, we will refund payment. We offer full refunds for cancellations made more than 10 days out from a class or workshop and 50% refunds made between 5 and 10 days before a class or workshop. There are no refunds for cancellations made within 5 days of a class or workshop. All refunds are for the designated amount minus the services fee charged to us. To cancel your class or workshop reservation, please email us at office@clayspaceeugene.org to receive a refund.
