Service Description
Event Details: ● Date: Sunday, November 9 ● Time: 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM ● Location: Clay Space Studio - East Wing Cost: $80 per person During this two hour workshop, Deb will demonstrate how she trails slip onto greenware to create texture, design and interest! Students will also have an opportunity to practice slip and underglaze trailing on practice tiles that will be provided as part of the workshop. All supplies will be provided. She’ll discuss how to make slips that can be placed in a bottle for trailing, and techniques for making various designs. We’ll work with both porcelain and colored slips as well as trailing with underglazes. She will show you how our studio glazes break over slip designs and how they look on various clay bodies we use. Feel free to bring any greenware pots you have to class if you wish to try these techniques during the workshop. If you have a design you’d like to make using slip, be sure to bring it along and we’ll explore ways to achieve getting it onto your pot. *Discounts cannot be applied to this workshop.
Cancellation Policy
Clay space reserves the right to cancel any workshop or class for good cause, including but not limited to: lack of sign-ups, illness of instructor, extreme weather conditions, etc. If a class or workshop is cancelled by Clay Space, we will refund payment. We offer full refunds for cancellations made more than 10 days out from a class or workshop and 50% refunds made between 5 and 10 days before a class or workshop. There are no refunds for cancellations made within 5 days of a class or workshop. All refunds are for the designated amount minus the services fee charged to us. To cancel your class or workshop reservation, please email us at office@clayspaceeugene.org to receive a refund.
